The IBM xSeries 370 8681-3RX takes the PC100 Registered ECC SDRAM DIMMs. To support over 16 GB, the optional memory card must be installed. It must be configured identical to the standard memory card to achieve memory interleave. Memory RAM Type, and comes installed with 512 MB (removable) of RAM. You can upgrade your IBM xSeries 370 8681-3RX to up to a maximum of 16/32 GB RAM, the system has 16 sockets (4 banks of 4) to install RAM, already with 512 MB (removable) standard RAM installed.
